- We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired; that it is true without any admixture of
error; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the age, the only complete and final revelation of the will of God
to man; and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried. By "The Holy
Bible" we mean that collection of sixty-six books, from Genesis to Revelation, which are the complete and divine
revelation of God to Man. By "inspiration" we mean that the books of the Bible were written by holy men of old, as they
were moved by the Holy Spirit, in such a definite way that their writings were supernaturally and verbally inspired and
free from error, as no other writings have ever been or ever will be inspired. We believe that God has preserved His
Word for the English-speaking people in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible.

- We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the maker and supreme
ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love; that
in the unity of the Godhead (also known as the Trinity) there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost,
equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

- We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God born of the Holy Ghost in a miraculous manner; born of
Mary, a virgin, as no other man was ever born or can ever be born of a woman, and that He is both the Son of God, and

- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God because of His character, His miracles, His influence, His power to forgive
sins and set people free from Satan. Jesus Christ, literally, was God in flesh because he claimed to be, died making this
claim, rose victorious over death.

- We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace. Jesus Christ by appointment of the Father, freely took upon
Him our nature, yet without sin, honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and by His death made a full and
vicarious atonement for our sins. His atonement consisted not in setting us an example by His death as a martyr, but
was the voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinner's place; the Just dying for the unjust. Christ the Lord, bearing our
sins in His own body on the tree; that, having risen from the dead, He is now enthroned in heaven.

- We believe in the literal bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. He arose bodily the third day according to the Scriptures
from the tomb, and ascended bodily into Heaven. Through His resurrection a sure hope of immortality and everlasting
life is given to all who have been born again. He is at the right hand of God, as our “Mediator, High Priest, and
Advocate.”

- We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person; equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature.
He was active in the creation. In His relation to the unbelieving world He restrains the evil one until God's purpose is
fulfilled. He convicts of sin, of judgment and of righteousness, bears witness to the Truth of the Gospel in preaching and
testimony. He is the agent in the New Birth. He seals, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the
believer.

- We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively.
Man was created directly in God's own image and after His own likeness. Man’s creation was not a matter of evolution
or evolutionary change of species, or development through interminable periods of time from lower to higher forms. All
animal and vegetable life was made directly and God's established law was that they should bring forth only "after their
kind."

- We believe that Satan was once holy, and enjoyed heavenly honors; but through pride and ambition to be as the
Almighty, fell and drew after him a host of angels; that he is now the malignant prince of the power of the air, and the

unholy god of this world. We hold him to be man's great tempter, the enemy of God and His Christ, the accuser of the
saints, the author of all false religions, the chief power back of the present apostasy; the lord of the antichrist, and the
author of all the powers of darkness - destined however to final defeat at the hands of God's own Son, and to the
judgment of an eternal justice in the Lake of Fire, a place prepared for him and his angels.

- We believe that Heaven and Hell are real, literal, physical places. Heaven is a place of indescribable beauty and glory.
Heaven is the final eternal abode and dwelling place of the redeemed where they will be reconciled to God. Hell is a
place of indescribable pain and punishment. Hell is the final eternal abode and dwelling place of the lost and separated
from God.

- We believe that man was created in innocence under the law of God, but by voluntary transgression fell from his
sinless and innocence, bringing about not only physical death but spiritual death as well. This spiritual death is
separation from God. In consequence, all mankind are now sinners both by nature and choice. They are therefore
under just condemnation and wrath without defense or excuse.

- We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again. The new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus. It is
instantaneous and not a process. In the new birth the one dead in trespasses and in sins is made a partaker of the divine
nature and receives eternal life, the free gift of God. The new creation is brought about in a manner above our
comprehension, not by culture, not by character, nor by the will of man, but wholly and solely by the power of the Holy
Spirit in connection with divine truth, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the Gospel. Its proper evidence
appears in the holy fruits of repentance and faith and newness of life.

- We believe the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel. We believe in a ‘whosoever salvation’. God in
no way elected certain people to Heaven and certain people to Hell. It is the immediate duty of all to accept God’s free
gift, and nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth but his own inherent depravity and voluntary
rejection of the Gospel.

- We believe that Repentance and Faith are solemn obligations, and also inseparable graces, wrought in our souls by the
quickening Spirit of God. Thereby, being deeply convicted of our guilt, danger and helplessness, and of the way of
salvation by Christ, we turn to God with unfeigned contrition, confession and supplication for mercy; at the same time
heartily receiving the Lord Jesus Christ and openly confessing Him as our only and all-sufficient Saviour.

- We believe in the eternal security of all believers in Jesus Christ. When a person is born again, they receive everlasting
life which cannot be taken away from them. God’s children are kept by the power of God through faith unto eternal
salvation and sealed unto the day of redemption.

- We believe that the local New Testament Baptist Church is the body and espoused bride of Christ, established when
Jesus called out the 12 apostles, composed of born-again believers, baptized by immersion, associated for worship,
service, & the spread of the Gospel of the grace of God to all the world. The church has an unbroken history from the
personal ministry of Jesus on earth to this present day. The church is a self-governing independent organization having
Christ as its head, the Holy Spirit as its guide, and the Bible as the only rule of faith and practice.

- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted two Church Ordinances, which are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism is only to be administered upon profession of faith in Christ by a scriptural (Church) authority, by immersion,
thereby declaring one’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour.  Baptism is the door to Church membership.  The
Lord’s Supper is only for believers who are members of that assembly observing the ordinance, and is to be preceded by
faithful self-examination.  Its elements are unleavened bread & (non-alcoholic) fruit of the vine.  It is to be held as a
memorial of the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection.

- The command to give the Gospel to the world is clear and unmistakable. The Great Commission was given to the local
church by our risen Lord Jesus Christ.

- We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is coming in the air at any moment to catch up those that have received Him as their
personal Saviour. This is known as the Rapture. Those saved of all ages will stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ. From
there will come the Marriage and Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Those left behind after the Rapture will go through a
seven year period known as the Tribulation, after which Christ, Himself, shall return to the earth visibly in body to set up
His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule. This is known as the Millennial Reign of Christ. After this the
unbelievers of all ages will stand at the Great White Throne Judgment to be judged by Jesus Christ and cast into the Lake
of Fire, separated from God forever, while the believers spend eternity in the fullness of joy with the Lord.

- We believe that sanctification is a personal separation from the things that are unclean to the things that are holy,
clean, and sacred. It is a progressive work that is begun at salvation and is carried on in the hearts of the believers by

the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. The sanctification of the believer will be complete at the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ.

- We believe that civil government is of divine appointment, for the interests and good order of human society; that
magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed; except only in things opposed to the will of our
Lord Jesus Christ; who is the only Lord of the conscience, and the coming Prince of the kings of the earth.

- We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of a marriage
between a man and a woman. Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman in the sight of God, and any form of
same sex union, whether it be marriage, co-habitation, or intimate relationship is strongly forbidden in the Bible. We
believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography
are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s
gender by surgery or appearance.

- We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion
constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life. Abortion is murder. We reject any teaching that
abortions or pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, population control, or the mental well-
being of the mother are acceptable.

- We believe that Christians are prohibited from bringing civil lawsuits against other Christians or the Church to resolve
personal disputes. We believe the Church possesses all the resources necessary to resolve personal disputes between
members.

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession
of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now in the
presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one
body in Christ.
We engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the
advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain
its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry,
the expenses of the Church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel throughout all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and secret devotion; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation
of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our
engagements, and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger; to abstain from
the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage, and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our
Savior.
We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each
other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take
offense, but always ready for reconciliations, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.
We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will as soon as possible unite with some other
church of like faith and practice, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
